Thou God Seest Me
Thou God seest me.
Hagar said this in a desert — running away, pregnant, rejected. It was not a complaint or a warning. It was comfort. The God who sees had found her where nobody else bothered to look.
We usually hear "God sees everything" as a threat. But for anyone learning to host His presence it becomes the opposite: the deepest security available to a human being. You are never unwatched, and you are never uncared for.
That changes private behaviour more than willpower ever will. Not fear of being caught, but awareness of being accompanied. A person who knows they are seen and loved at the same time stops living two lives, because there is no longer an audience worth performing for.
Practise it today. Not "God is watching me" with a flinch. "God sees me" with relief.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that I am never unwatched and never uncared for. Let me live one life, not two.
Today’s action: Several times today, pause and say quietly, “Lord, I am before You now” — especially where nobody sees.
How would your private life change if you truly believed God sees, and loves you anyway?
