Walking Together Means Agreeing

Amos 3:3 (KJV)

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

It is a question, not a lecture, and it answers itself. Two people cannot walk together for long unless they agree on where they are going.

This is why some believers feel far from God without any obvious sin to point at. Nothing dramatic happened. There was just a decision, months ago, where He said one thing and you chose another — and you kept moving. You did not leave Him. You simply stopped agreeing, and distance did the rest.

Agreement is not a feeling. It is direction. You can sing loudly on Sunday and still be walking a different road than the One you are singing to. The gap is not caused by weak emotion; it is caused by a turn nobody made a fuss about.

The good news is that a walk is easy to rejoin. You do not need a new conversion. You need to stop, look at the one place you know you disagreed, and turn back toward Him there.

Prayer: Lord, show me where I have quietly disagreed with you, and bring me back into step.

Today’s action: Name one area where you know God's direction and have not been following it, and take one step back.

Reflect

Where have you stopped agreeing with God, and kept walking anyway?
