The Blessing That Adds No Sorrow

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

There is a kind of increase that comes with a hidden price — money gained by cutting corners, work with no rest, gain that costs you your peace, your honesty, or your family. It makes you richer and emptier at the same time.

Then there is the blessing of the LORD. It makes rich — and addeth no sorrow. Nothing to regret afterwards. No shame attached. No peace given up to get it. It is increase you can actually enjoy, because it came God’s way.

Do not only chase increase. Go after the blessing. Build honestly. Work hard, but rest in Him. Refuse the shortcut that promises more and quietly steals your peace. The goal was never simply to have more. It is to have God’s blessing on what you have — the kind that makes your life richer without adding sorrow to it.

Prayer: Lord, I want Your blessing — not just more, but more with peace. Bless the work of my hands Your way.

Today’s action: In one money decision today, choose God’s way instead of the shortcut, and trust Him with the result.
