He Careth For You
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Two things sit side by side in this verse. First, a command: cast your care — throw it, hand it over, let go of it. Second, a reason: for he careth for you. You can let go because Someone stronger is waiting to catch it.
We hold on to our worries as if carrying them proves how much we care. But God is not asking you to prove you care by being crushed under the weight. He is asking you to trust that He cares, by handing it over.
All your care — not just the few you can manage, but all of it. The big fears and the small ones that keep nagging at you. Hand them over, because the God who holds the whole universe cares personally about what is weighing on you. You were never meant to carry it alone. Name it. Let it go. And leave it in the hands of the One who truly cares for you.
Prayer: Father, I give this worry to You — I refuse to carry alone what You have offered to hold.
Today’s action: Say one worry out loud, picture yourself handing it to God, and choose to leave it with Him.
What worry are you holding on to that God is asking you to hand over to Him?
