A New Month, New Mercies

Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed… they are new every morning.

A new month is a gift of fresh mercy. Whatever last month held — the failures, the disappointments, the hopes that never happened — this new page comes with new mercy, new every morning.

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed. Think about that for a moment: you are still standing. The pressure that could have crushed you did not, because His mercy held you up. That same mercy walks with you into this month.

Do not drag the whole weight of last month into this one. Let go of what is finished. Receive what is new. God is not done writing your story, and every new morning of this month comes with enough grace for that day. Step into it expecting good — great is His faithfulness, and His mercies are new again today.

Prayer: Father, into this new month I bring an open heart. Thank You that Your mercy meets me here.

Today’s action: Write down one thing you are trusting God for this month, and give it to Him in prayer.
