Walking When You Cannot See
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Walk, not sit. Faith is not standing still with your eyes closed. It is moving while you cannot see far.
Sight is a good servant and a poor master. When we walk by sight, we only move as far as the evidence goes — and evidence is always behind us, made of things that have already happened. A life ruled by evidence can never take a first step towards anything new.
This does not mean ignoring reality. Faith is not pretending your bank balance is different or that the diagnosis was not given. It means refusing to let what you can see be the only thing you consider, because God is real and He is not visible.
Today there is probably something you would do if you could see the outcome. You cannot. Do it anyway, carefully and prayerfully. That is what walking looks like.
Prayer: Lord, help me keep walking on the days I cannot see anything happening.
Today’s action: Do the next right thing today even though you have no evidence yet that it is working.
What would you do today if you trusted God with the part you cannot see?
